Yesterday for Day 2, we talked about 5 Components that I believe are essential to you for your long-term vocal growth: frequency, consistency, simplicity, Outlets, and Community. You know what? I just realized I could change “Outlets” to “Opportunity” and wouldn’t that list be nifty? I digress. I postulated that keeping it simple is key to making the rest of it work, so I believe that’s the most important element.
Today, we’re going to capitalize on the concept and practice of simplicity when it comes to building your Daily Vocal Practice (DVP). It needs to be sustainable, so we’re going to make it easy to remember and easy to maintain.
Day 3 Assignment
To grow your VOICE from your VISION:
After you finish watching the training video, which you can view in the Facebook Group Unit for Day 3, do the following:
Step 1: Begin to group the exercises you’ve been collecting since yesterday into one of the categories of types of exercises needed for your Daily Vocal Practice (DVP).
- Choose 5 exercises (to get started) for each category – these will be your Fab 5 for each category.
Step 2: Name your Fab 5 for each category in these two places:
- Your Singer’s Notebook
- The Day 3 Assignment thread in the FB Group.
Step 3: Go back later in the day to check out everyone else’s ideas and comment on at least ONE other person’s post. Look for inspiration for your own practice!
